Hardrock Construction has been serving the great people of Mount Albert, East Gwillimbury, Uxbridge, Stouffville and other areas of York and Durham region since 2001. Todd and Sandra are a husband and wife team who have loved renovating their client’s homes for over 40 combined years. They adore their small but growing historic village of Mount Albert and it’s wonderful people and that they are just 20 minutes to so many other great rural communities. When they aren’t working on their own home, they love hitting the beaches of Ontario’s provincial lakes to paddle board and take in all the fun and sun they can!
Their passion for renovations was born when they purchased their historic 1878 Queen Anne century home in 2001 and started the incredible journey of rehabilitating her with thoughtful consideration to her original historic features. With an astute eye for detail acquired from his previous years as a machinist, Todd brings his exceptional carpentry skills, workmanship and knowledge he has learned from working with custom home builders and landscapers, and renovating their historic Mount Albert home, to all his client’s renovation projects.
In 2007 Sandra received her National Kitchen and Bath Association Kitchen Designer Diploma, her NKBA Creativity in Kitchen Bath Designs Certificate in 2008, multiple kitchen sales awards and other industry certificates. She previously worked in corporate retail for 18 years designing kitchens and bathrooms as well as project managing, designing and running her own kitchen department and designed with over 8 different lines of quality kitchen and bath cabinetry and top brand name products. As partner since 2022, Sandra brings her wealth of product knowledge and undying passion for design fulfilling their long time dream of working together to offer their clients a complete design and renovation experience tailored to busy families who don’t have the time, skills and or desire to DIY their home renovation themselves.
The cornerstone of Hardrock Construction was built on great design, quality workmanship, honesty, integrity, kindness, respect and a great work ethic. Working with their client’s to give them a home that improves their lives in both a beautiful and functional way that also improves their quality of life and health is their driving force and goal for each and every project and as their belief that “home is where the heart is” and the profound impact that it can have on your happiness, is the reason why they love doing what they do!
